Carsxnn

Lebo Carson Tak, also known as Carsxnn, was born on the 13th of August 2004. He was born in Pretoria, and later moved to Bloemfontein in the year 2015. He felt like the move to Bloemfontein expanded his horizon of new things and throughout his creative journey to this far, he has found his love for music.

The love for his creative work started when he was four years old, jotting down theme entrance song lyrics of famous cartoon programs. When he didn’t finish jotting the lyrics, he would add his own.

Writing lyrics was a way of expressing his feelings, and that is where he started. He started jotting down lyrics as an everyday routine, meaning he was not aware that he would do it as creative work, which is music. This was like an awakening call that this is what he was going to do, express his feelings through music.

One of the first few songs were not released, because they expressed his feelings, but before he could release them, he wanted to talk about community. Blinded In The Streets, one of his first official releases, expressed the message that the community needed to be heard. He says the song is “more of a reference to how the vision of streets and what’s going on is always down sighted and how people choose not to pay attention to what’s happening”. Such a song took him 3 three months to compile and he wanted the song to “sound like the community”.

Working on songs like Blinded In The Streets don’t need to be worked on with previously used energy, but it takes a fresh, clean slate for new songs. He says that every song is a new experience for him, he learns new things and he tries to give the song new energy.

Inspired by the greatest of all time, the late Michael Jackson and Tupac, we expect the unpredictable from Carsxnn in the year 2022. New energy, new tracks and lots of messages. He has something useful for his listeners.
