Emerging artist Sola is a living example of the transformative force of inspiration and personal enthusiasm in the colourful landscape of music and events. Born in Soshanguve, Pretoria, Sola’s path is a rhythmic voyage that has brought him to the buzzing creative hub of Midrand. A career in music and entertainment seemed like an unlikely dream, but Sola’s love affair with music began in the dance-filled corridors of his primary school.

Drawn in by the beats of house music, hip-hop, and pop,
Sola and his peers took the stage and lit up school concerts with their
performances. But when Sola met a local rapper in his eighth-grade year,
everything changed. Seeing someone very close take the music industry by storm
ignited a spark within Sola, making the impossible feel within reach. Sola’s journey into the world of music and events began when he felt compelled to believe that a divine purpose awaited him in the creative sphere.

This was a turning point in his life. Inspired by artists like Drake, Michael Jackson, Kanye West, and The Weeknd, among others, Sola set out on his creative journey, driven by their enormous success and their sounds, and he continued to push forward with a resolute will to make his mark in the music business. The road to Sola’s ascent was not without its difficulties.

Faced with resistance from his family, a lack of encouragement, and the biting criticism of doubters, he endured a storm of doubt and scorn. Nevertheless, he
turned these setbacks into steppingstones, pushing himself to prove that his
passion was not only legitimate but also headed for greatness. Sola is a creative energy whirlwind, currently working on multiple exciting projects at once. He launched the Art of Groove events organisation, closed out the year with new singles, and is hard at work on his debut project, which is scheduled for release in early 2024.

Sola has collaborated with well-known producers such as Chrisoul, DON LOCO, Ocean L, and more to further enhance his sound palette. Anticipations for the future include a number of music projects, albums, EPs, and live events; a music video for his most recent single, “Shala,” as well as intriguing videos for upcoming singles.

Sola is excited to be embarking on his exciting event curation work with Art of
